Summer is here.....REJOICE!!!!! REJOICE!!!!!

Mon Jun 22, 2009, 9:20 PM
  • Mood: Spring Fever
  • Listening to: Lost Highway (Album)--Bon Jovi
  • Reading: Prey--Michael Crichton
  • Watching: Twilight :-D
  • Playing: Warcraft III: Frozen Throne
  • Eating: Brownies
  • Drinking: Water
Ah how we love summer here in the Southeastern United States.

Humidity, Heat, Bugs, Sweet Iced Tea, Water, Concerts, Lake fun, Sweet Tea, Bugs, Random Storms that knock down 90 foot trees in your back yard, and of course the near omnipresent 80% Humidity.

Anyways, both Kels and I are broke, so we both have jobs. I also managed to get talked into a 5-day cruise to the Bahamas and back right after the fourth and a summer class to fill a requirement for my major. Kels has babysitting duties for her two nieces and one nephew (she's the youngest of four siblings so... kiddies) and so she watches them most days and then works when she's not.

What that boils down to is some stress-related postings rather than thought out works. Granted that's not much of a difference of what we've done in the past, but at least there was a bit of rhyme to the reason hidden in the background.

But, for now, one of us will check dA daily and reply to all messages etc, etc....

Oh and the stories I have posted on FF will remain my top priority since my dreams have started to include my characters attacking me. I blame it on a new medicine, but when the literal figments of your imagination start to attack you in your imagination, I think you have problems.

As always,

Cheers and May With You The Force Be!

Cass and Kels

Hey, that actually sounds familiar, really familiar, but I haven't read the book, 'deja vu'
weird, but it sounds good, I'll add that to the list of books my friend has given me to read, lol
thanks Cass, by the way, if you haven't read the book Silence of the Lambs, I totally recomend it, it's an awesome book, I couldn't put it down.

Oh I've read all of Thomas Harris' works. Red Dragon is my favorite.

By the way has Kels spoken to you? She told me she would. But she's been kinda shifty with her schedule lately so a lot of things hav slipped by her.

No she hasn't but thats ok, I totally understand about crazy/busy scheduals. lol
I haven't read Red Dragon, but I did see the movie, and it was really good. I have a thing for characters (mainly men, haha I admit) that have shall we say...';problems'?
yeah I think that covers it, oh well, haha I'm weird. lol

I think we're all weird on some level. That's what makes us an awesome species.

Oh and she has promised me that she will get to be on here this weekend. Seems that now both of us are leaving on Sunday for the week.

:D

Men with "problems" make life interesting. (So why is it that all the good problematic ones are my best friends and not otherwise?)

Yeah, I don't know I tried to hate Twilight (why, I have no idea)
And it was a little easier to do so when the movie came out, but...
I have a weakness that kinda wants to give the books a chance because, I love vampires! plain and simple, I do, so I might have to give up and read them, and sometimes i find corny and cliche, I don't know appealing, I read part of the first book in wal-mart, just a few pages here and there, and I kinda got hooked. so, i give.

thanks Cass, you do really great book reviews, what's The Host about? i've never heard of it before.

Oohhh! I love TDK!
lol
peace,

You're Welcome!

The Host is about Aliens....don't look at the screen like that. It's actually much better than the Twilight series. The characters are much better developed and there's an actual story there rather than a weird sequence of events.

There's a whole element of insanity too as the aliens use us as hosts and so you get to hear the person's opinions and the opinions of the alien.

:D
